Temporary Import Permit (TIP)

Not available to Residente Permanente

Eligible: FMM (tourist), Residente Temporal
Definitive Importation
Pedimento A1Permanently import your vehicle. Receive Mexican plates. Required for Residente Permanente.

Tariff 1%–20% + IVA + ISAN + DTA
Requires agente aduanal (broker)
Eligible: All immigration statuses
Residente Permanente — Important
If you hold Residente Permanente status, you are not eligible for a TIP. You must proceed with Definitive Importation.
